Q1 2021 Performance of Top Match 3 Games on iOS in Brazil

In the first quarter of 2021, the Match 3 gaming category on iOS in Brazil saw significant activity among its top contenders. Sensor Tower data provides a closer look at how these games performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Project Makeover, published by Magic Tavern, Inc., experienced a declining trend in downloads, starting from around 162K in the last week of December 2020 and dropping to approximately 27K by the end of March 2021. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight peak in mid-January at around 173K and ending the quarter with 170K users.

Homescapes by Playrix showed more fluctuation in downloads, peaking at nearly 58K in early March. Revenue followed a similar pattern, with a notable increase in mid-February reaching about 37K USD, before a decrease towards the end of March. The game's weekly active users peaked at over 205K in early March.

Match 3D from Lion Studios Plus saw a downward trend in both downloads and weekly active users throughout the quarter, with downloads decreasing from 32K to around 11K and active users dropping from 120K to under 98K.

Gardenscapes, another Playrix title, displayed an impressive increase in revenue from the end of December at approximately 42K USD to over 55K by the end of March. Downloads saw a significant spike in early March, reaching over 41K, while active users showed a slight decline over the quarter, ending at around 126K.

Lastly, Fishdom, also from Playrix, had an interesting journey with downloads spiking in early March to over 48K, a substantial increase from the 5K observed at the beginning of the period. Revenue showed growth in early March to about 24K USD, and weekly active users saw their peak at nearly 47K in mid-March.
